It’s time to register for spring and summer recreation programs. Registration for residents begins Tuesday, March 19 at 6 am online at www.milton.ca/register and walk-in registration begins at 9 am at Town recreation centres. Registration for non-residents takes place two days later on Thursday, March 21. Registration for summer camps is already underway.
A variety of new programs are being offered for all ages and abilities, including many returning favourites. Programs to keep children moving include Move More Sports, which teaches fundamental movement skills through games, and drills that focus on dodgeball, badminton, beach volleyball, cricket and more. Art programs for children and youth foster creativity and inspiration with painting, drawing, cartooning and performing arts. Active programs for youth include yoga and weight training. Adult programs include meditation and yoga to help relax and rejuvenate, active water workouts with Aqua Zumba and Water Walking, and art classes to explore Van Gogh, Mandalas and seascapes.
In addition to registered programs, a wide variety of drop-in programs are offered, including sports, skating, fitness, track cycling and swimming to keep the whole family active and busy. Moms and dads with preschoolers looking for opportunities to keep them engaged can sign them up for one of the many pre-school programs. Youth can enjoy a Friday night out with their friends at the Funtastic Friday program. Older adults can try a variety of registered and drop-in programs offered at the Milton Seniors’ Activity Centre.
