Let the Ontario Election Begin

Lieutenant-Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell of Ontario has signed a proclamation that dissolved the 42 parliament in the Province of Ontario.

The dissolution is effective as of 4pm today (May 3).  The proclamation also calls for the writs to be issued tomorrow (May 4) for a general election June 2, 2022.

Confirmed candidates as of today in Milton are:

Sameera Ali, Liberal Party of Ontario

Parm Gill, Progressive Conservative

Orianna Knox, Green Party of Ontario

John Spina, New Blue Ontario Party
