Milton Closures/ Cancellations: COVID-19

The province of Ontario has declared a state of emergency.  This means the cancellation of events, and gatherings over 50 people, as well as the closure of bars and restaurants that are unable to provide takeout.  Below is a list of closures and cancellations for Milton:

Milton Event Cancellations:

Milton Chamber of Commerce: Cancellation of both Business After Hours (BAH), and Milton Young Professionals (MYP).  Their staff is also working remotely.

Milton Rotary Club: The Rotary Club has postponed the annual Denim & Diamonds Gala scheduled for April 18, 2020.  The Gala was raising funds for the Townsend Smith Foundation and Milton District Hospital Foundation.

Spring Social: A tweetup for good, scheduled to take place March 26 at Eddie O’s has been cancelled.

Milton Divorce and Separation Support Group has postponed its Marc 31, meeting.

Active Results Collaborative scheduled for April 14 has been postponed

Spring Fayre: Grace Anglican Church’s annual event has been cancelled

Milton Historical Society has cancelled all events until May 1, 2020.

Famiizuu has cancelled all programs

Milton DBIA: Cancelled its annual Easter Egg Hunt scheduled to take place April 3, 2020.  More information on the downtown businesses visit their Facebook page

Seventh Milton Scouts E-Waste Fundraiser has been postponed.

Businesses Operating with changes:

Member of Parliament (MP) Adam van Koeverden,: Community office is closed, but available via email: adam.vankoeverden@parl.gc.ca or phone: 905-693-01666

All Town Facilities including Town Hall until April 5.  All committee meetings are cancelled, including the March 30, council meeting.  One exception is that Milton Innovation Centre remains open to clients, and employees.

Dirt “B” Gone Home and Office cleaning and Maintainence Services: Operating with changes to Sanitation policy.  More information on their Facebook page

Troy’s Diner: Closed to dining room.   They’ll be serving customers via Skip The Dishes, Uber Eats, and Door Dash.

Eddieos: Suspending service in the dining Room

The Green Eatery: Operating on a takeout or delivery basis.  The Green Eatery has introduced extra cleaning procedures.

The Lunchbox: Closed for dine-in options, however they are taking take out and Uber Eats orders.  Phone #: 905-878-3644, or email lunchboxcafe@clnh.on.ca

Luigis Lasagna & Pizzeria: Closed for dine-in service.  Accepting orders by phone, or through Skip the Dishes or Uber Eats.  For more information visit their Facebook page.

East Side Mario’s: Takeout, and delivery only

Grocery Stores: Most grocery stores are open on reduced hours, and with increased cleaning schedules and regulations.  Most are operating on an 8am-8pm basis and adding additional cleaning procedures.

Symposium: Open for curbside pickup, and home delivery. Check their website.

Bread ‘N Batter: Remain open for regular hours:  10am-8pm. But they’ll only fill take-out, and pre-orders.

Miss Bailey Brown Chocolate: Available to order online and pick up in town.

Vin Bon Milton: remains open on regular hours: 10am-6pm

Paramount Fine Foods: Dining room is closed.  But their distribution kitchens remain open to serve the needs of the most vulnerable, including shelters, and foodbanks.  For more information visit their Facebook page

Orange Snail Brewers: Closing the taproom and bar for pints, sampling, and growler.  Brewers will remain open during business hours.  For more information visit their Facebook Page

The Gallery Upstairs: Still open.  They’ve instituted extra cleaning precautions.  They also have a delivery option.

Snapology of Halton-Mississauga: Physical location has closed.  But they are hosting online challenges.  For more information visit their Facebook page

Bang Creative Communications: Studio closed to visitors, and are working remotely.

Mortgages by Kimberley Singh: Switched to doing more video meetings with clients.  For more visit their Facebook Page

Your Lifestyle Mortgage: Office is closed, but they will be working from home.  More information is on their website

Adjust to Home Health Care Supplies: The Store remains open for deliveries, and will provide over the phone support.  For more information visit their Facebook page for more information.

Milton Blinds & Shutters: Home consultations have been suspended.  But they will give quotes online or by phone.  More information is on their website

Syed Ali CPA: Open, but doing business over the phone, and via email.  Phone: 647-786-1216 for more information

Sapphire Dental Centre: Open only for emergencies.  Call: 905-878-8760.

Inner Trust:  Closed for in-person healing sessions, but will be taking appointments for remote/ distant reiki healing sessions.  For more information visit their Facebook page

J Scott Early Funeral Home: Limited gatherings to a maximum of 50 people, and added extra hand sanitizer

Academy of Music: Office is closed, however is offering lessons remotely with online music lessons
