Ontario Approves High School for Milton

The Ford government has approved a tender for a new high school in southwest Milton. The funding is part of the province’s capital investment program with $1.4 billion invested for the 2019/20 school year.

“This project means more class rooms being built, providing a safe, quality learning environment for our students,” said  Milton MPP Parm Gill. “With increased funding going to Halton Region school boards of $6.2 million, and our expansion project for Bishop Reding Catholic high school, we are continuing with our commitment to invest in student achievement and success.”

The new high school is within the Halton District School Board. The new high school will accommodate 1,221 students and is expected to open for the 2020/21 school year.
