Halton Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a female robbery suspect who preyed on an elderly Milton woman on Wednesday morning.
Shortly before noon an 87 year old resident of a senior’s home on Bronte Street was sitting on her walker just outside of her building. At that time a grey or silver Nissan (Rogue or Murano) pulled up and positioned itself in a parking spot very near the victim. A female got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and approached the elderly woman. Almost immediately the suspect demanded the victim’s rings and started pulling on her fingers. The feisty senior resisted and the female retreated back to the vehicle which then sped off in an unknown direction. The victim sustained no injury.
Police are looking for a female described as brown, 5’5″, 150lbs, average build, brown hair pulled into a pony tail, wearing a white shirt, off white button up sweater, a blue or black ankle length skirt and black shoes. There was no description of the driver.
CCTV footage captured images of the suspect and vehicle. Unfortunately no licence plate was recorded.
Anyone with information is asked to call Halton Regional Police.
