The Town of Milton is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Siltala as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective January 1, 2020.
Andrew has been serving the Town of Milton as Acting CAO since June 15. The selection of Andrew comes following a thorough recruitment process led by the national recruitment firm Organizational Consulting Limited. The CAO position reports directly to Council and is responsible for strategic vision and effective leadership.
“Andrew has an unparalleled understanding of the community, where we’ve been and where we’re going,” said Mayor Gord Krantz. “His passion for collaboration, and his proven ability to make strategic investments for our future are only some of the reasons he’s the right choice to lead the corporation as we move ahead.”
Andrew has extensive knowledge of the corporation and has served Milton and its residents for the past 19 years. He formerly held the position of Director, Strategic Initiatives and Economic Development in the CAO’s office. Before joining Milton, he managed an economic development organization and was a project manager for a private engineering and planning firm.
“I am honoured and privileged to take on the role of CAO in a community that has been my home for the last 20 years,” said Andrew Siltala. “I look forward to continuing to work with our talented team of dedicated professionals to realize the opportunities that will make Milton a place of possibility for generations to come.”
