In response to ongoing efforts to safeguard our longer-stay patients, Halton Healthcare has recently introduced changes to its visiting guidelines. Effective immediately, all visitors must wear a mask when entering specific patient care areas at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Milton District Hospital, and Georgetown Hospital.
Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital’s mask requirement applies to the 3 North Complex Transitional Care Unit and the 4 North Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. In Milton District Hospital, visitors to the 2 North Regional Unit and the Complex Transitional Care Unit are requested to adhere to this guideline. Similarly, at Georgetown Hospital, masks are mandatory in the Complex Transitional Care Unit.
While patients and visitors in other areas of Halton Healthcare facilities, including the three hospitals, can wear a face mask, the organization encourages everyone to consider using masks for added protection. Face mask dispensers are conveniently located at all main entrances for the convenience of those who wish to continue wearing one.
