Wind Warning: Milton February 24

Environment Canada has placed Milton under a wind warning.  Winds are expected to range between 90-110 km/ hr throughout the day Sunday.  Areas near the great lakes will experience gusts on the higher end of the range.  Winds will diminish throughout Monday.

Flurries are expected through Sunday afternoon with accumulation in the 2 to 5cm range.  The winds may cause whiteout conditions, and damage local buildings.  Environment Canada is also warning of potential power outages.

Operations crews in the Town of Milton will be working all weekend to clear the snow from subdivisions.  They’re asking residents to keep catch basins free.
