A Milton man succumbed to his injuries at a trauma centre after a serious multi-vehicle collision that occurred around 5:00 p.m. on September 20, 2024, at the intersection of Derry Road and Ontario Street South.
A GMC Sierra, driven by a 35-year-old man from Milton, was westbound on Derry Road when it hit multiple vehicles near the intersection. After the crash, the GMC crossed the center median and overturned, striking several eastbound cars before stopping in the eastbound lanes. In total, eight vehicles were involved in the incident.
Among the vehicles struck by the GMC was a Toyota Corolla driven by the 55-year-old Milton man, who suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a trauma center, where he later died.
The police are urgently appealing to any witnesses who may have dashcam footage of the collision to come forward and share it with the authorities.
