Olesia Josephine Price was the first baby born at 12:25 a.m. on New Year’s Day, weighing 7 pounds, 0.5 ounces at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Halton Healthcare celebrated the arrival of its first baby, born in 2025. Both mother and baby are in good health.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this special moment with the family, and we extend our congratulations for the new year,” said Cheryl Hoare, Program Director of Women and Children at Halton Healthcare.
“The birth of a child is always an unforgettable moment, and we are grateful to be part of such a special milestone for this family and our community.”
In 2024, Halton Healthcare’s Women and Children team supported the delivery of 4,763 babies across Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Milton District Hospital, and Georgetown Hospital.
“We are immensely grateful to our team members, especially those who worked through the 2024 holiday season, for their commitment and dedication to our patients,” said Melissa Farrell, President and CEO.
“Their care and expertise make a real difference to families in our community.”
