The Town of Oakville invites professional Canadian artists from Greater Toronto and the Hamilton Area to submit proposals for two outdoor vinyl installations at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. The initiative is open to artists aged 18 and older, with preference given to those with ties to the local community.
The selected artworks will be featured in two prominent locations: the south-facing front entrance wall and the west-facing fly tower overlooking Sixteen Mile Creek. Artists can design one cohesive artwork for both spaces or create two distinct pieces.
Submissions should celebrate Oakville’s vibrant performing arts community, drawing inspiration from theatre, music, and dance. Proposals must include high-resolution digital files suitable for large-format printing and can consist of samples of previous work.
Submissions are due by February 2, 2025. This initiative offers artists a unique opportunity to contribute to the cultural landscape of Oakville while showcasing their talent on a highly visible platform.
