Here’s what’s open and closed in Halton Hills over the holidays

During the holidays, several services and facilities in Halton Hills will be adjusting their hours.

 

Shopping malls

 

Toronto Premium Outlets will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. starting on Dec. 23. The mall will be open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Boxing Day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

 

The mall will be closed on Christmas Day.

 

Extended hours will apply on Dec. 27 as the mall will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. as well as on Dec. 28 it will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

The mall will be open on Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will also be open on Jan. 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

The Georgetown Market Place will be open on a holiday schedule on Dec. 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dec. 26 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

The shopping centre will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

 

The Beer Store

 

The Beer Store located at 236 Guelph St., will be open on Dec. 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as well as on Dec. 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

However, it will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

 

LCBO

 

The LCBO on 365 Mountainview Rd. S., will be open on Dec. 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Dec. 24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dec. 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Dec. 28 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

The LCBO on 236 Guelph St., will be open on Dec. 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Dec. 24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dec. 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Dec. 28 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Both locations will be open on New Year’s Eve.

 

Both stores will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

 

Town hall

 

Town hall will close at noon on Dec. 24 and will remain closed on Dec. 25 for Christmas Day and Dec. 26 for Boxing Day. Normal operating hours will resume on Jan. 2 at 8:30 a.m.

 

Pools

 

The Gellert Community Centre will be open from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 24 and 31 and will be closed Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1. The Acton Indoor Pool will be closed on Dec. 24, 25, 26, 31 and Jan. 1.

Arenas

 

Both Acton Arena and Community Centre and Mold-Masters SportsPlex will be closed from Dec. 24 to 26, as well as on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. All recreational programs located at the Mold-Masters SportsPlex are cancelled from Jan. 2 to Jan. 5, due to the Halton Hills Winter Classic Event.

 

ActiVan

 

ActiVan will not operate on Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1. 

 

It will operate on:

 

Dec. 24: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Dec. 27: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Dec. 28: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Dec. 29: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Dec. 30: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Dec. 31: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Taxis will be running from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on all days.

 

Halton Hills Public Library and Culture Centre

 

The Acton and Georgetown branches of the Halton Hills Public Library as well as the Helson Gallery and John Elliott Theatre will operate as follows:

 

Dec. 24: Open from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

 

Dec. 25: Closed.

 

Dec. 26: Closed.

 

Dec. 31: Open from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

 

Jan. 1: Closed.

 

Active living centres

 

The Georgetown branch will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2, 2026.

 

The Acton branch will be open on Dec. 29 and 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed on Dec. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31 as well as Jan. 1 and Jan. 2.

 

Youth centres

 

Both Acton and Georgetown branches of the Halton Hills Youth Centre will be open from 3:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 22 and 23.

 

Both centres will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 1.

 

The Acton branch will be open on Jan. 2 from 3:00 to 7:30 p.m. while the Georgetown branch will be closed.
