Residents looking for a high-energy March break or a summer camp for children can find it with this year’s lineup of Halton Hills programs.
With a focus on safety, affordability and fun, the programs being offered in March and the summer feature classic favourites alongside new specialty programs.
March break camp
Registration is now open for March break activities. From March 16 to 20, the town’s March break camp is designed to keep children active and engaged.
Activities include classic camp games, creative crafts, science experiments and plenty of outdoor play.
The format mirrors the full-day summer programming structure designed to give kids a consistent and safe experience.
Registration details can be found on the town’s website.
Summer camp registration for Halton Hills residents opens at 7 a.m. on Feb. 17. For non-residents, registration opens at 7 a.m. on Feb. 24.
Residents can preview the summer camp planner online.
Weekly prices range from $241.15 to $356.74 for full-day programs and $146.10 to $175.30 for half-day programs. Camp weeks that include a statutory holiday will have lower fees.
An additional 20 per cent charge will be added for non-residents.
Two new specialty programs will be introduced this year:
Tiny Tyke Art, for children between the ages of four and six, offers an opportunity to explore painting and crafts along with splash pad fun and outdoor games.
Science Adventures, for kids between the ages of seven and 12, allows participants to partake in hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) activities and experiments, as well as daily swimming and active play.
The town recommends residents ensure their profile is ready ahead of the registration opening date, either online or by calling the registration hotline at 905-873-2600, ext. 2275.
For those who cannot register online, printed forms can be submitted to town hall or via email to register@haltonhills.ca by Feb. 10 to ensure it is processed on opening day.
To help town staff manage demand fairly, residents are advised to only register for one sport or one wait-list per week as a withdrawal fee will apply for those who switch from a registered spot to a wait-list spot.
Additional summer camp information can be found on the town’s website.
