The Halton Hills Sports Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the class of 2026.

Residents have until Feb. 28 to make their submissions.

The annual tradition celebrates the athletes, teams and builders whose dedication and success have brought pride to Halton Hills.

The hall of fame recognizes Halton Hills athletes, coaches, officials, executives and teams through their achievements in sports.

Athletes and teams must be retired or have completed their specific achievement at least three years prior to nomination.

However, builders and coaches are eligible regardless of whether they are still active or retired.

Residents can submit their picks either online through a newly launched website, where they can complete the fillable digital form, or they can download the form from the website and send the completed version to the selection committee chair Herb Garbutt at herb_garbutt@hhsm.ca.

The chosen class will be officially enshrined during a special induction ceremony on May 27 at the John Elliott Theatre (9 Church St., Georgetown).
