Arrests made in Connection to Television theft

On Monday January 16th, members of the 2 District Criminal Investigation Bureau conducted a search warrant at a rural property on the Oakville/Milton border in relation to the theft of several high definition televisions from transport trailers.

With the assistance of the Halton Regional Police Emergency Services Unit, two individuals were safely detained, and eight firearms (long guns) were seized. One of the firearms was loaded.  During an ensuing search of the property investigators recovered 15 of the stolen televisions, valued at $54, 000.  In addition to the televisions, a jet boat and trailer also suspected of being stolen were seized.
