Halton Police officers have charged several persons with offenses related to impaired driving in Halton region.
While responding to a collision in the area of Trafalgar Road and Upper Middle Road in Oakville, the police nabbed Zinet Harvey, 51, resident of Mississauga, who was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On the other hand, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Mill Street and John Street in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Chad Fleming, 38, resident of Halton Hills was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
In another instance, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Mountainview Road South and Argyll Road in Halton Hills. Misty-Lee Strickland, 41, resident of Halton Hills, was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
Responding to another citizen-initiated complaint, Halton Police officers in the area of Brant Street and Prospect Street in Burlington conducted an investigation, as a result of which Danny Davidson, 44, of Ancaster was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.
Saul Collas, 44, resident of Burlington, was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours when Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Upper Middle Road and Walkers Line in Burlington.
Separately, another resident of Burlington, one named Kevin Hocking, 32, was charged with impaired operation causing bodily harm and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours. The police were responding to a collision in the area of Lakeshore Road and East Street in Oakville.
Responding to another citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Regency Court and Prospect Street in Burlington, a senior citizen Eric Gaiger, 81, of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On the other hand, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Sixth Line and Upper Middle Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Kemar Drummond- Reid, 37, of Mississauga was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
While conducting a traffic stop in the area of Maple Avenue and Fitzgerald Crescent in Milton, Halton Police officers charged Monika Kassagby, 25, of Milton with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
Another citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Ontario Street South and Donald Campbell Avenue in Milton resulted in charging of Ostoja Kalkan, 68, of Milton with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
The police have urged the public to immediately report a suspected impaired driver as soon as they come across one, through 911.
