Dave Pratt has been appointed Fire Chief for the Town of Milton effective July 1, 2017.
Chief Pratt has held the role of Deputy Fire Chief for the Town of Milton since 2008. Prior to joining the Milton Fire Department, he spent 8 years with the Halton Hills Fire Department. In his role as Fire Chief, Pratt will also be responsible for overseeing the Town’s Emergency Management Program as the Community Emergency Management Coordinator.
“Dave is a respected leader who has earned the support and respect of the Fire Department,” said Milton CAO Bill Mann. “We are proud to see him rise to the role of Fire Chief and look forward to an enhanced focused on community emergency preparedness.”

Chief Pratt will head a Fire Department staffed by more than 120 full-time, part-time and volunteer personnel. The Milton Fire Department operates from 4 station locations, with plans to open a new Fire Station at Louis St. Laurent and Diefenbaker St. in spring of 2019 to continue to meet the needs of the growing community.
He replaces former Chief Brian Ellsworth who left the role in January after 9 years of service.
