Hope in High Heels Marks Second Year in Milton

By: Laura Steiner

Hope in High Heels is a fundraiser for Halton Women’s Place.  September 16, 2017 it marked its second year in Milton.  This year’s edition started with speeches from  Halton MPP Indira Naidoo-Harris, and Councillor Mike Cluett.  “I have a 17 year old son Anthony, and a 9-year old daughter Miranda, and I want their future to be a future without violence against women,” he told the crowd.

This year’s walk started at the parking lot outside Troy’s Diner, and moved west along Main St.  to Carriage Square, and then back down to Troy’s.
