HRPS Releases Impaired Driving Offenses: June 29- July 2

​On June 29, 2020, just after 11:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bronte Road and North Service Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Alexis Leon Silva (44) of York was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 29, 2020, just after 10:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Fourth Line and No. 22 Side Road in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Fiona Brown (58) of Acton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 1 2020, just after 9:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Lakeshore Road and Brant Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Craig Dawe (38) of Brampton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 2, 2020, just after 1:00 pm, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of Queen Street and Longfield Road in Halton Hills. As a result of this initiative, Derek Waterworth (38) of Halton Hills was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 2, 2020 just after 7:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision complaint in the area of Speers Road and North Service Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Orson Adjei (40) of Toronto was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 2, 2020 just after 8:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Speers Road and Dorval Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Matthew Scherle (22) of Mississauga was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 2, 2020, just after 11:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Kerr Street and Herald Avenue in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Johnathan Acton (21) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 2, 2020, just after 11:30 pm, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of Guelph Line and No. 10 Sideroad in Milton. As a result of this initiative, Connor Gallagher (27) of Puslinch was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
