On March 29, 2019, just after 6:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Gallagher Road and Plains Road East in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Donald Hood (66) of Waterdown was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On March 30, 2019, just before 3:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Campbellville Road and Twiss Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Sumeet Singh (20) of Brampton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On March 30, 2019 just before 10:00 pm, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of Lakeshore Road West and Jones Street in Oakville. As a result of this initiative, Daniel Wickie (47) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On March 31, 2019, just before 3:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Main Street East and Harris Boulevard in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Justin Farr (23) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On March 31, 2019, just before 9:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Trafalgar Road and Iroquois Shore Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Ganchimeg Ganbat (37) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On April 1, 2019, just after 3:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Dundas Street and Cornerstone Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Rachel Guerin (25) of Etobicoke was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.
Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
