Halton Regional Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on No. 5 Sideroad near Esquesing Line, Milton. On February 9th at 6 p.m. the driver of an older brown van crossed into oncoming traffic in an attempt to pass another car, on the two lane highway, at the crest of a hill. A vehicle coming in the opposite direction was forced to veer off the roadway to avoid a head on collision with the van. The oncoming vehicle entered the ditch and flipped onto its hood. The 31 year old female driver was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. The driver of the van fled the scene without stopping.
