HRPS Seeking information in Toys for Tots theft

On December 14, 2018 at approximately 4 pm, a male suspect entered a Canadian Tire store and loaded a number of items from the Toys for Tots / Miracle on Main Street donation bins into a shopping cart. The suspect then exited the store. The items taken were toys intended for less fortunate children in the Region of Halton.

The Halton Regional Police Service has supported families with the Toys for Tots campaign since 1999. This year, Toys for Tots partnered with the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation – Miracle on Main Street. Donation bins are located throughout the region, including at the exits of some Canadian Tire locations.

The suspect has since been identified, but not arrested.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Constable Ryan Smith at 905 825 4747 ext. 5169.
