The Milton Town Council has given the green light to allocate grants from the Milton Community Fund, amounting to $362,564, to 46 local organizations. These groups are pivotal in shaping Milton into a vibrant and promising community.

The Milton Community Fund, designed to support various not-for-profit entities, focuses on enriching local access to artistic, cultural, and recreational programs. Established by the Milton Council, the fund distributes a portion of the proceeds from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, specifically from Woodbine – Mohawk Park, to benefit local initiatives.

Since its inception in 2001, the Milton Community Fund has injected more than $7.6 million into the community, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing the local quality of life. Mayor Gord Krantz emphasized the town’s dedication to supporting not-for-profit organizations: “The Town remains committed to supporting local not-for-profit organizations that are dedicated to helping our community thrive and prosper. Grants from the Milton Community Fund will help our recipients power initiatives aimed at bringing our residents together and improving our community’s quality of life.”
