Miracle on Main St returns for a 13th year.  The Milton based Christmas holiday toy drive organized by the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (TJSF) launched its second year on a virtual basis due to COVID-19.

“It’s all about putting a smile on the face of young kids waking up Christmas morning,” Milton Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Parm Gill said.  Gill also continued to thank the foundation for all the work throughout the year.  New, unwrapped toys are collected during the pre-Christmas period to be distributed to kids who have to spend the holidays in hospital at McMaster Children’s Hospital, and the Hospital for Sick Children as well as to families in need throughout the Region

The Toy drive usually ends in a morning-long street party in early December along Main St in front of Troy’s Diner. “I’m looking for one promise; that we will be back closing off Main St. next year,” Milton Mayor Gord Krantz said.  His statement garnered nods from the organizers.

The Miracle On Main enters its fourth year in partnership with the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).  The merger has allowed the campaign to spread through Halton Region. “We’re working harder than ever to make sure that those kids in our Region are going to have gifts,” Ron Ferlin said. They started collecting toys over last weekend with their cram a cruiser event, which, continues this Saturday November 27,  and December 4 at Canadian Tires across Halton Region from 10am until 2pm.

Donations of unwrapped toys can be dropped off at either Troy’s Diner at 295 Main St, Milton Ontario, or East Side Mario’s at 860 Main St as well as at 12 Division at 490 Childs Drive, Milton or at any other police station in Oakville, Burlington, and Halton Hills.  More drop-off points will be announced soon.   Drop-Off Days will also be held at Halton Children’s Safety Village: 1151 Bronte Rd, Oakville for the next two Wednesdays (December 1 and December 8) from 5pm-9pm.

You can also support Miracle on Main via a cash donation through their website.  Troy’s Diner is also offering a Miracle on Main milkshake and donating the profits from it. For more information email: miracleonmain@haltonpolice.ca, or info@tjsf.ca
