Pakistan marked its 70th Independence Day on August 14. Canadian Pakistan Association of Halton (CPAH) marked the occasion two days before with an evening of celebration at Milton Sports Centre, which, kicked off with an outdoor parade, and flag raising ceremony.
After the parade, the crowd moved inside to a hockey rink where seating was arranged for a concert, and children’s performance.
Video messages from Milton Member of Parliament (M.P.) Lisa Raitt, Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Indira Naidoo-Harris, as well as other dignitaries marked the day.
