Krantz Answers COVID-19 Related Questions

By: Laura Steiner

Mayor Gord Krantz released an audio message Friday night where he responded to residents’ questions submitted through the Town’s Let’s Talk Milton platform. The message recaps what the Town has done so far to respond to the COVID-19 crisis.

Highlights include:

  • Transit: Milton Transit is no longer taking fares.  Passengers are being asked to enter, and exit through the rear doors of the bus
  • Parking:  Enforcement is limited to safety related reasons. Exceptions have been suspended due to COVID-19.  Residents can still fight tickets online.
  • Business: The Town has created a business resource page on its site.

“I encourage residents to follow the advice of Halton Region Public Health like practising physical distancing, and staying at home as much as possible,” he said.  You can check in on your friends and neighbours by giving them a call or messaging them on social media.  We must all keep doing our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19,” he said.  Milton Town Council is expected to meet for its scheduled March 30 meeting to be held online.  Agenda items include 90 days of property tax relief due to COVID-19
