Public urged to help the police in suspicious vehicle fire incident

Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS)  would like to speak to anyone who has any information regarding a vehicle fire incident in which the police recovered a person’s dead body. 

The incident took place on November 27, 2022, approximately between 2 AM and 4 AM in the area of 5463 Dundas Street west of Tremaine Road in the City of Burlington. 

Police say the circumstances are suspicious and the Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. 

The deceased person has not yet been identified and the vehicle has been taken to the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto for further examination.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the fire, traveled in the area of Dundas Street between Bronte Road & Appleby Line, or who may have any dashcam footage from November 27 between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. within Highway 407 (north), Appleby Line (west), Bronte Road (east) and QEW / 403 (south) to call the Homicide Tip Line at 905-825-4776.
